August 1, 2009

Yesterday we received a phone call from the doctor's office confirming that the masses that were checked through the biopsy done last week Align Centerin Paula's throat, to indeed be Lymphoma. We will be going to Moffitt Cancer Center on Monday to meet with Dr. Saba, Paula's oncologist, to discuss treatment options. Your continued prayers for the correct treatment to put this cancer back into remission would be greatly appreciated. Also, Paula's hip has continued to increase in pain, making the need for this cancer to be put into remission crucial. If her hip gets too bad and actually crumbles the hip surgery will not be possible. Your encouragement and prayers are very special to us and we can't tell you how thankful we are for these every single day! God bless each of you and your families.
Psalm 25:5
"Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long."

  1. My first reaction is to cry...which I am doing as I type....and pray, thanking God for all the times he has been faithful to us through the years; Trying not to question why (because we know He doesn't cause this to happen) but asking Him once again to give us strength, to increase our faith, and rely totally on His divine intervention. What more can I say? God is still in control and we have to claim His promises.

Please pray with me....Father, forgive us for the times that we have questioned you; forgive us for the times we have doubted you; forgive us for the times we have shaken our heads and pounded our fists against the table and cried, "Where are you?" God, we know that you have been here....you have carried us through the valley and you've given us strength. Lord we ask you to do it one more time. In Jesus' Precious Name, AMEN

Paul and Paula...we love you guys!
